Glenn Dotson

Brother Dotson has been with the Independent Baptist College since 1982. After graduating from the college he was ordained in November 1982 by the Trinity Temple Baptist Church of Dallas, Texas, and served as assistant pastor until 1987. In 1987 he moved from the staff at Trinity Temple Baptist into a full time faculty position at IBC. After graduating from Dallas Theological Seminary in 1989, he served as Registrar and Academic Dean. When the Independent Baptist College moved to Fort Worth in 1997, he joined the staff of Spring Valley Baptist Church, while continuing his teaching and administrative duties for the college.

Dixon Myers

Brother Myers has been a part of Independent Baptist College faculty and staff for eleven years total, serving on both a full time and part time basis. He received the Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies degree from I.B.C. in 1971. This included a second major in Christian Education. He also received the Master of Arts in Ministry degree from Luther Rice Seminary in 1995. He has served as pastor of three churches. In one a Christian school was established and in another I.B.C. courses were conducted in a satellite program. Brother Myers also served as a missionary in Mexico for several years. While there he reopened an independent Baptist seminary that had been closed for some time. That program was expanded to a five-year program that is equivalent to a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies degree by U.S. educational standards. It is still doing well today. He now serves as full time professor and does most of the recruiting and promotion work for IBC. He and his wife Judy have four married children and six grandchildren. Judy and all four children have attended I.B.C. as well.

Dean of Students
Mark Cagle

Bro. Mark Cagle is a staff member of Spring Valley Baptist Church and I. B. C. He currently directs the Youth Choir and teaches in the Youth Department. In addition, Bro. Mark teaches English at I. B. C. and is currently the Dean of Students. Bro. Mark graduated from Tarrant County College with an A. A. and then pursued his education at the University of North Texas. While at the University of North Texas, he received a B. S. degree in Education. Bro. Mark was teaching and coaching in the Texas public schools when he received the call of the Lord upon his life. Bro. Mark resigned his public school position and enrolled at I. B. C. He is currently teaching English and pursuing his degree at I. B. C.

Beverly Dotson

Sister Dotson has been on staff with the Independent Baptist College since 1983. She graduated from the college in 1982 and pursued library science at Texas Womens University in Denton, Texas. She has served as secretary, woman’s instructor, as well as library assistant and head librarian, a position presently held. She is active not only in the college but also in the church. Beverly and her husband, Glenn, have three children still living at home: Deirdre, Dana, and Derek.

IBC Bookkeeper
Pam Riley

Sister Riley has functioned as the college bookkeeper since its arrival in 1997. Not only is she an efficient bookkeeper, but she also serves as secretary. She is involved in the day to day operations, mail outs, and helping in the coordination of activities for the college and church. Pam and her husband, Steve, have been members of Spring Valley Baptist since 1987. They have two children: Zachary and Kyle.
