We hope that you will mark your calendars for our annual Seminar. Our next Seminar revolves arouf a "Back To School" format. From time to time we like to vary our formats. We have offerewd this format before and many have requested that we do it agian; so we are doing it agian. Our Seminar begins on Monday Evening, Febuary 18th and concludes with lunch on Thursday, February 21st. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served for your convienence. Topics Edwin Zellner -- Writing Your Own Adult Sunday School Lessons. How can good adult Sunday School lessons be written? The answer will be explored. Heavey emphasis will be placed on the HOW!!! This topic will be so handled that pastors or staff workers weho are not presently invovled in such a ministry will set out to write thier owen adult Sunday School lessons.
Dixon Myers -- Islam in America. The Muslim religion has never before enjoyed the high profile it has in American society today. The following three qauestions will be addressed in three sessions: What is ISlam?, How is it effecting the world we live in?, and what should we do about it?
Glenn Dotson -- Profiting from the Prophets. While we enthusiastically look to the prophets' theology concerning end times, often we miss the theology meant for their day and ours. Using the prophet Isaiah this study focuses upon prophetic genre and structure that helps in the interpretation and application of these Old Testament books.
During the afternoon sessions informative videos wil be show on Darwinism, hate crime legislation, and islam. During the evening sessions we will have selected preachers, so come prepared to preach. This is the preacher fellowship portion of our Seminar. So come for a time of fellowship and instruction. |
